Is it illegal to rent a killer? If I order a hitman’s services and no one finds out about it, I won’t have any problems, right?

If I order a killers services and no one finds out about it, I won’t have any problems, right?

There is a person who has really messed up my life and I want to solve this problem. I don’t believe in any legal ways to do this, so I’m wondering if it would be illegal if I ordered a hitman but no one would know what I did?
It would be a clean, quiet murder.
